Katie Giraulo is an experience designer in Washington, DC. She’s obsessed with design thinking, content strategy, and birds. If you ask her how to make your writing better or what to say in your app, she’ll tell you to first say it out loud. Write how you talk. (Also: “You’ve got this/you look great today.”)
Katie’s been working as a writer, editor, and designer for almost 20 years and is an expert in helping brands hone their voice and own their identity. She’s worked with Hilton, Veterans Affairs, The World Bank, Honeywell, and the content strategy powerhouse, Brain Traffic. During her decade-long tenure at The Humane Society of the United States, Katie started a content strategy practice and routinely got in trouble for putting too many bird pictures on the homepage.
In April 2017, Katie joined Capital One as a UX Content Designer to change banking for good. So far, it’s been pretty amazing.
